Today, I felt like shopping so it was the perfect time to get some bridesmaid gifts out of the way! My first stop was Chanel where I got my 2 bridesmaids a pair of earrings. They were a little pricey, but they're perfect! Vintage-looking dangly CCs with yellowish gold crystals with dark silver posts! They fit in so nicely with my yellow color scheme. I really wanted to stay away from pearls since both girls have plenty of real and fake pearls so I wanted to get them something different that they didn't already have. These earrings will the first real Chanel jewelry piece for both ladies! Also, I think the earrings will look lovely with black dresses. Plus, they're simple enough that they can wear plenty of times...they're kinda blingy which is good for my evening wedding...and lastly, they're freaking CHANEL! Who wouldn't love Chanel earrings as a gift??? The saleslady was nice enough to wrap the boxes up with pretty ribbon and put them in mini Chanel bags so I don't even have to gift wrap! Don't worry...both my bridesmaids are computer-phobic and have no idea what blogs are! Thus, I don't have to worry about spoiling the surprise since they don't read my blog.

The little gadget on my desktop tells me itapos;s 93 degrees outside.

It feels hotter.

I put the last of the air conditioners in this morning (it got tolerably cool last night). I do recall swearing that Iapos;d never again live in a house without proper AC, but the estimates we got to install it were prohibitive. Ah, well.

Iapos;m now at work, where I have some MBA stuff to catch up on. The quarter is about to end, which would be excellent news if it werenapos;t for the work I need to do this week, and the fact that the new quarter starts too damn soon.

Iapos;d really hoped that I could steal some time during the workweek to get my homework done, but thatapos;ll never happen, not with a major presentation to prepare.

While they turn off the HVAC systems on the weekends, itapos;s remained pleasant in my office, and Iapos;ve got a desktop fan pointed right at me. I like to feel a little cold, see.

And now my esteemed colleague Dr. Pepper and I are going to get to work.
